Challenge Your Lean Thinking and Be Inspired to Drive Unimaginable Results
The Power and Versatility of a Lean Challenge!
A “Lean Challenge” is a short-term Virtual Learning Engagement, whereby the facilitating of concepts, conversations & knowledge sharing takes place in the adoption and application of Lean Principles & Practices, with the goal to implement within a 30-day period (or shorter time-frame as appropriate).
Participating in a Lean Challenge has the following advantages:
- Receives expert advice as it relates to our unique situation
- Engages in conversation on strategies and techniques to overcome adversities & obstacles
- Focuses on practical solutions and outcomes
- Challenges our normal way of thinking
One of the goals is to create Ambassadors of Change.
These Leaders & Supervisors from the Front-Line to the Senior Management Executives, create optimization plans, facilitate and support kaizen events & encourage other OpEx activities. They spend time learning and trying different ideas via the PDCA Cycle. This ensures proper follow-through to ensure sustainability of the outcomes achieved.
Our Proven Method of Knowledge Retention & Practical Application
The “workshop” is designed with our time-tested and proven method of Inform, Involve and Inspire. This translates into a simple but powerful cycle of Teach (educate) – Do (engage) – Learn (educate) – Transform (reflect) daily structure. It is designed in such a way to ensure information over-load, long winded speakers and a lack of opportunity to ask questions is avoided. We call it our “Makoto Blueprint” for success.
Topic’s and Concepts vary based the “Challenge” Presented.
Most recently, we’ve conducted challenges on 8 Steps to Practical Problem Solving as well as Strategic Alignment of Lean Thinking and Driving the Right Behaviors with TPS. It is precisely because of the way these are designed, with a “just do it” mentality, that Lean Challenges are having a real impact on optimization initiatives.
Each Lean Challenge is Advertised in Specific Regions of the World.
